The making of a Stone Wall Design
The process starts by a bowl blank been cut from a log of ash and then roughed out by Robert on the lathe. Following from that it is let air dry until it is at the desired moisture level. As a result the bowl is ready to be remounted on the lathe and the different style cut into the bowl. Then it is ready to be scorched, ebonised and coloured. The inside is finished with the natural ash showing.
